There were some quarrels, controversies, financial problems but all of a sudden someone has the ability to sort out all the issues and made the movie to see lime lights after 4 years of waiting. The movie doesn’t have enough expectation because team failed to do promotions though the movie has fantastic plot. When we think about Vaaimai, What it is all about? Whether the movie speaks politics? Whether the movie speaks about independence of India? Let’s see..
The movie kick-starts with a song which portrays the before independence story of India but it was quite unusual on screen. Then director senthil Kumar takes his own time to brief the story with much patience but audience cannot connect them in it. The story lacks clarity in screenplay. The whole story revolves around a woman and her son whom they consider as a victim. So the court has decided to make a conference which includes 12 members and they have to decide the judgement. It was quite interesting conversation which leads to interval block with one predictive twist.
Ok, The conference have not completed. Quit interesting but still we doesn’t get any clarity in story. There is a flashback which breaks the flow. Everything was left blunt. The only saviour was two people, Goundamani and Thiyagarajan. They have saved the devastating life of the movie. So here ends with the judgement whether they hanged that woman or not.
On the whole, the movie can be watchable once for the plot. Screenplay could have been better. Story could have been better.
